wood

wood species and its finish

Wood and its timber have always been, and remain, one of the most important elements of human life: it creates air for us, ships were made of it and even cars, we use its fruits for food, build houses out of it, make paper … and much more, including furniture.
Natural wood can breathe, absorb moisture and evaporate slowly it back, thus creating a healthy indoor climate. Same way natural wood does not attract dust and absorbs odors, it has antistatic and antibacterial properties.
We use exclusively solid wood for the production of our furniture (the exception is the bottom of the boxes and the back walls of some products, for which birch plywood with natural veneer is used).
The furniture board is created in our workshop, taking into account wood structure (which affects the technical properties of the furniture board, its stability) and a selection of its constituent boards is made according to the external texture.

wood species

These samples represent wood species. Different types of wood have different color and texture parameters.
The cost of the product can vary significantly depending on the type of wood used. All basic prices of products are indicated on our website for products made of European oak.

OAK EUROPEAN
OAK
EUROPEAN
European White Oak is one of the most important hardwoods and is mainly used for furniture and flooring.
Having a density of approximately 750 kg⁄m3 and longitudinal shrinkage about 0.4 % perfect to produce products with a large single part area.
The even distribution of resins and pores makes it an excellent tinting material.
OAK AMERICAN
OAK
AMERICAN
The main difference from European oak lies in the light pink shade of the material, which makes products made from it more “delicate” and “light”.
The texture of the American oak is uniform, while maintaining deviations from board to board.
Technical parameters of American oak are identical to European oak.
Distribution: Northeastern United States and Southeastern Canada.
TEAK
TEAK
It enjoys well-deserved fame for its durability and weather resistance.
The heartwood tends to be golden or medium brown, darkening with age.
It is the natural "chocolate" shade that makes this type of wood respectable, especially against the background of concrete and white walls. This shade also resembles leather.
The real teak we use in our furniture comes from Burma.
WALNUT AMERICAN
WALNUT
AMERICAN
American walnut looks great in light, minimalist interiors.
The sapwood is creamy white, while the heartwood is light brown to dark chocolate brown, occasionally with a purplish cast and darker streaks.
The relative softness (density 640 kg/sq.m.) makes this wood undesirable for use as a floor covering.
It is widely distributed in North America (from the Canadian state of Ontario to Texas) and in the east from Maine to Florida.
WENGE
WENGE
It is heavy wood, resistant to deformation, damage and bending. The wood is not afraid of mold and harmful insects that pose a threat to other species.
Ideal for products subject to high operating stress and for products for damp rooms.
Has a very even texture and color (texture and color change from board to board is minimal).
It grows mainly in Zaire, Cameroon and Gabon.
ROSEWOOD
ROSEWOOD
Elite wood, a work of art of nature!
For many centuries, it has been rightfully considered one of the most valuable tree species in the world.
An extremely beautiful, emotional wood with outstanding technical parameters, highest wear resistance.
The texture is bright, yet stylish, the heartwood of rosewood can be either golden brown or a dark blood-red, while the sapwood is pale yellow and up to 60 mm wide.
The main places of growth are Honduras and Brazil.
OLIVA
oliva
OLIVA
It has very attractive asymmetrical patterns, the color of which varies from brownish to dark brown and black.
Perfectly fit into a modern minimalist interior creating accents.
Wood is highly resistant to wear and tear, making it a good choice for products that last decades or centuries.
Commercial timber comes from Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda.
PADAUK
PADAUK
Bright wood, for lovers of juicy shades. The main color can be called dark purplish brown.
Very hard wearing and renowned for its resistance to decay (in Africa it is used in the manufacture of oars and agricultural tools).
It grows in the central and tropical regions of West Africa.

wood Finishes

OIL

Following our vision, we use oils of the most natural composition for finishing our products.
Having tested the products of seven major oil producers on the Russian market, we opted for the products of the BIOFA German company. This oil is even certified for finishing children’s toys.

VARNISH

To protect dining tables and bathroom furniture from the external environment and household chemicals, we use mat or gloss varnish at the request of the customer.
The varnish we use is produced by an American company, certified according to the strictest parameters of the United States and, according to the manufacturer, is safe for babies after drying.

glass

colored and transparent

Glass in our furniture is presented in the form of shelves, decorative facades and glass doors. We cooperate with a representative of the longstanding AGC Japanese company. Tempered glass is used for the shelves.
In the manufacture of glass doors, SAFE + film is additionally used, which ensures safety in the event of mechanical damage to the glass (i.e., in the event of damage, the glass will not crumble on the floor of your house).

There are two versions of glass: matt and glossy. This page contains samples in matte finish. Glossy glass has the same color, its samples are not given in this catalog due to the impossibility of transferring the gloss of the material in electronic or printed form.

metal

painted and stainless

The colored metal elements we use are powder-coated using a special manufacturing process and meet the strict requirements set by our quality standards.

Concrete

painted and natural

We use concrete as a base for some of our products.

The unique casting technique creates an elegant yet mesmerizing look of the concrete.

The concrete is cured in the mold and then sanded and coated with oil. This gives it a unique tension and a pleasant tactile feel. The product’s unpredictable irregularities, depressions, crater structures and small hairline cracks make each concrete block unique.

ACCESSORIES

modern and classic

For doors and drawers, we install fittings from two Austrian companies – BLUM and GRASS – that have proven themselves and are well-known in our market.
The choice of a hardware manufacturer depends on the technical needs of a particular product.

assembly

one-piece and collapsible

In the process of designing our furniture, we try to find a solution that will make our product setup. In this case, all elements of the products are glued together, which makes it possible to achieve:
• the most durable connection of parts (the glue seam is stronger than the wood itself)
• allows you to make a much more accurate fit of parts in comparison with a collapsible design
We manufacture bulky items such as beds, wardrobes, etc. in a partially disassembled construction. The connectors of the FESTOOL German company are used as connecting mechanisms.

The possible difference between the image and the real physical sample is due to the difference in color rendering of the device on which you are viewing the images or the limitation of the color rendering of the paper catalog.
