Caring for the environment is in our DNA.

By environment, we don’t just mean the furniture at your home, but everything related to the entire production cycle and the people involved in production.

The complete production cycle as we understand it is:

Growing and harvesting timber.

We strive to purchase wood from forests that are managed in an economically efficient and, at the same time, ecologically and socially responsible manner (FSC-certified). We also plant our own trees in equal quantities to the timber we consume.

Packaging

We minimise the amount of packaging in our business by doing away with the marketing component, leaving only the minimum necessary for safe delivery.

Wood is known to have a beneficial effect on the room’s microclimate.

In addition to this, there is no risk to man, as all products for cleaning and restoring the surface are based on natural substances.

In addition, the production of such products has a much lower environmental impact than the production of strong synthetic products.

Recycling.

Even if our furniture suddenly becomes unusable, its disposal will not contaminate the environment due to the nature of the material itself, the natural finishing materials and the absence of plastic elements.

The dimensions of almost any of our products may be modified at your wish (within reasonable limits and taking into account technological limitations). You will have the opportunity to “try on” the modified product in your home with the help of Augmented Reality.

CHOICE OF WOOD SPECIES

Any product can be made in a valuable species of wood other than oak. Before placing an order you can evaluate how our product would look like in a particular species of wood in your home with the help of Augmented Reality technology.

At our company, we strive to combine the classic approach of tailor-made products made from natural materials with modern technology, which enables us to provide you with the most immersive experience in the process of selecting and purchasing our products.

This approach is expressed in the joining of the two elements, classic – the use of wood as a material, the use of glue to join parts (rather than metal joining elements), the use of natural oils for the finish and the application of the one piece, one craftsman approach. And the modern is the maximum use of information technology in the design and production process, as well as in the presentation of our products.

However, information technology is not an end in itself. We try to implement MVP (Minimum Viable Product) of the newest technology, to test it, to get feedback from internal and/or external customers and on the basis of this feedback to decide on its full-scale implementation or to abandon it (as a minimum at the moment).

At the moment, in the design and production of a “vintage” product such as wood furniture, along with pencils, chisels, hand saws and planers we use:

  • an automated planning system
  • a world-class CAD system
  • systems for providing the carpenter with access to complete CAD product information directly from his workplace
  • Integration of the production CAD system with product presentation systems
